Sustainable design solutions seems to depend on balancing and evaluating multiple parameters and demands from experts as well as future users. Likewise sustainable use of materials, production methods and synergistic applications depends on being considered at an early stage in the design process.
As a consequence we are trying to define a more relational composition of development – by which we mean conceptual, organisational, spatial, structural and material proposals which can be responsive to necessary feedback during the design process while at the same time serve as a guideline and vehicle for the further development.
The further research should give a more precise definition of relational development        features and a mapping of how they are actually working in our design processes.
Themes of interest are adaptable spatial patterns, the relation to analogue and digital design tools and how it facilitate collective/individual influence and expressions.
