Fifteen years of practice started with deep interest in public space. Winning numerous urban planning competitions has led to actual planning commissions and activities. This has reinforced my approach to squares, streets, urban blocks and city landscape as generator of socially active space.
On another note, city centres in Estonia are usually under heritage protection. Competitions which I won in Tallinn Old Town and in other protected areas have triggered my interest in design process to provoke and to explore the boundaries of modern heritage protection.
